This Scottish wedding from Love My Dress
looks like something straight out of a fairy tale. The couple celebrated their newlywed status in an enchanting castle by the river, with the breathtaking countryside serving as the backdrop for their photos, and filled their big day with nods to their Scottish and South African backgrounds. They used a tartan on everything from their invitations to their tables, and they had a bagpiper play while having proteas, the flowers of South Africa, make an appearance in the bouquets and boutonnieres.
From the bride’s dress, with its lovely lace arms, chic chevron pattern, and edgy exposed back, to the carefully foraged décor — there were found lampshades, trunks, and bargain furniture — this wedding was nothing short of stunning. The rings were custom-made and the ceremony traditional, which made for the perfect blend of old and new. Check out all the magical moments in the slideshow ahead.
