This London elopement is a reminder of what weddings are truly about: two people celebrating their love for and commitment to one another. Katie and Nathan met at a bar in Manchester in 2008, and even though Katie initially tried to rebuff Nathan's advances, within a half-hour, they were hooked. The couple dated long distance for six months before Katie decided to move back to London for good. And, on Valentine’s day 2013, Nathan popped the question over a breakfast of heart-shaped pancakes.

When trying to figure out what they wanted for their nuptials, the pair ultimately decided they wanted it to simply be about them and the city that brought them together.
So, they tossed out their guest list, bid adieu to all the big-day politics, and planned their dream date in London. They ate food from the stalls at Broadway Market and danced the night away at a swanky 1920s-themed cocktail lounge. Katie wore a vintage rose gold gown, while Nathan was decked out in a floral bow tie. From their intimate Town Hall ceremony (complete with personalized vows) to their first dance in their hotel room, this couple's elopement proves how perfect a low-key affair can really be. See all the beautiful vintage details the couple worked into their day (including the bride’s second look!) in the slideshow.
