Not Just In Your Dreams: The Most Gorgeous Bedtime Gear, Ever

SFRD Don’t get us wrong, we really dig dishing out goodies and gifts to other peeps — but like most, we get selfish sometimes, and relish in a little retail R&R. So, when we heard that Corinne Grassini of Society for Rational Dress was partnering up with the much-loved authors, Siobhan O'Connor and Alexandra Spunt of No More Dirty Looks — we got our wallets ready.

The No More Dirty Looks girls are just as psyched. "We love pampering ourselves, and we're always trying to get our readers to do the same — take a load off, treat yourself well, feel good and sexy in your own skin. Corinne was the perfect person to team up with for that!” says Siobhan.

Boasting aromatic eye pillows and hemp nighties, the dreamy threads have spa day and beyond written all over it. Siobahn chimes in again with a helpful hint: "I love the nightie — I'll probably end up pairing it with jeans once it gets warmer.” Photo: Via Society for Rational Dress

Did The Kardashians Really Have To Go Topless To Sell Jeans?

KARDASHIAN-DENIM-APPROVED

At this point, it's entirely obvious that the Kardashian Klan's motto is "if you've got it, flaunt it," and the new promo pics for their Sears denim collection (aptly name the Kardashian Kollection), scream exactly that.

Bare-chested and suggestively posed, the sibs got really racy to peddle the newly launched blues, (which are fitted individually to compliment each Kurvy sister's body type).

The idea behind the line is fairly genius considering how different Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney's shapes are, but we're a little taken abreast, er, aback, by the pics, especially since they're shot for oh-so-orthodox department store Sears. We know you're not shocked, but please do opine below. Did they really need to get so explicit to solicit slacks sales?

Were Freja Beha And Arizona Muse Dropped From The Chloe Campaign?

chloe_ss12 Rumor-mongers we are not, but is there trouble brewing in fash-paradise? Earlier this year, we gushed over the citrus-y shoot done by Freja Beha Erichsen and Arizona Muse for Chloé's spring '12 campaign, where the two donned accordion dresses and lounged at the Chateau Marmont. However, there appears to be something of a switch-eroo, as the ladies have been ditched in the ads in favor of a more straightforward Glen Luchford shoot with Karmen Pedaru and Kate King (the latter opened the spring runway show). The new, studio-shot campaign appeared in French Vogue, with an explanation saying that Freja and Arizona were only a rumor (even though Chloé confirmed it via Twitter). Hrm, maybe all's not well in paradise? (The Fashion Spot)

Kate Hudson Is Ann Taylor's New Face. Does This Make Sense?

new-kate-hudson-ann-taylor

Don't get us wrong, we totally love Ann Taylor's brand revamp. Three years ago we might have stayed away from the buttoned-up store, but now it's been whipped into crisp, classic, chic shape! The one thing that bugs a bit, though, is the onslaught of celeb-ridden ad campaigns. Heidi Klum, Katie Holmes, Naomi Watts, Demi Moore...and now Kate Hudson? Sheesh.

The shots are gorgeous. But we're not sure this one's quite on trend...when we think of KH, we think rocker-boho-badass, not pin-tucked pants and simple silhouettes.

There's something to be said for letting a brand speak for itself once its gained some street cred, non? Do you dig always seeing stars in AT's duds, or are you endorsement-ed out?

We Brunched With Bosworth And Have Some Scoop To Prove It!

Opener This was one fine day for us! We had the pleasure of hanging with Kate Bosworth and her mega-stylist Cher Coulter at the Soho House, for the launch of the brand-spankin'-new JewelMint video series, and got to chitty chat about our most beloved subjects: fashion and film. The visual narrative below is the first of many to come, and we got some tidbits on the flick while we noshed on yummy eats with the stars.

R29: If you could be reincarnated as one piece of jewelry from your latest collection, which would it be?
KB: I really like the Madison Avenue ring (pictured). It’s masculine and deco all at the same time.
CC: I like stuff with pins, so the Lucky Charm piece is my favorite (pictured). You can put it on your coat or any place where you can see it, where it won't get lost.

R29: This video has you globetrotting all over the place! What was it like behind the scenes?
KB: You never know what you are going to get! For example, in L.A. we were able to control it since it was shot here, and both Cher and I were around. In Paris and Morocco, it was just me and the director Michael Polish so it was much more hectic! And in order to get the light right at this time of year in Morocco, we were up at 3 a.m., which is why my hair looks like it does — ha! We were lucky that I was going to be in Morocco at that time, because January really is split into two parts for me — one half is New Year's, and the other awards. It was great because we got L.A. with the Hollywood glamour and Morocco with that resort feel. I love Morocco!

Ballerinas and Surfers: Our 2 Fave Kind Of Chicks In 1 Flick!

In a magnificent new must-watch short film, Quiksilver profiles the similarities between two of the most beautiful forms of movement — dancing and surfing. Both sports embrace elegant exercise, and encourage the utmost of grace — not to mention the backbone it takes to rise to the top (early a.m. workouts in freezing water and Black Swan-style bloody feet — eek!).

As she interviews three dance divas, four-time World Champion surfer-cum-documentarian Stephanie Gilmore pinpoints the parallel to her sport perfectly: "The wave is your stage and the sun is a spotlight." Well put! This vid is highly recommended (just click through) — watching both styles of athletes in action is nothing short of awe-inducing, and at the very least, will really inspire you to step your weekend game!

Coachella Update! The Lineup's Been Blasted For Fashion And Music's Main Event

Coachella 2012 poster

That long-awaited day has arrived — the Coachella lineup has finally been announced, and it's time to get your ticks (hurry, now!), log that vacay time (adding on an extra two days for recovery of course), and most importantly, start planning your street-style snap worthy outfits!

With two weekends of tunes on the roster this year (genius), there are plenty of opportunities to get your groove on, and hopefully enough tickets to go around to avoid as big of a ruckus as last year. Check out the full lineup below, but we're calling Saturday the day when it's absolutely unacceptable to lag at the pool or get distracted by the parties — Radiohead, The Shins, Bon Iver, Miike Snow...we aren't kidding around here. The bands definitely won't disappoint, but since we aren't blessed with a Fashion Week here in SoCal, the Indio Polo Field shows are really the only sartorial showcase for our finest desert garb! See you at the Rose Bowl next month (tip: we checked, and April's flea market falls on Easter, so get movin' in March).

Must. Watch. Gwyneth Paltrow Discusses S&M In TV Special

GwynethPaltrow(1)new

The term "Hollywood insider" has been so diluted by the tabs in recent years that it's hard to discern whether it alludes to some social climbing celeb "friend" or a legit big shot source. Well, if you ever need a solid reference for the phrase, Vanity Fair's Senior West Coast Editor Krista Smith is the living, breathing epitome of access. After palling around with the town's most in-cliques for over fifteen years, this super-journalist certainly walks the celeb walk, and now she'll talk the talk, too, with a one hour interview special airing Wednesday on USA at 11 p.m.

On Out Of Character With Krista Smith , she'll chat with her coterie of Hollywood heavyweights including Gwyneth Paltrow, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, and Michelle Obama darling Jason Wu. Tune in to get tidbits on Gwynnie's dirty sense of humor, and just how exactly JW pulled off the look of the century for MObama's Inaugural Ball gown. Here's hoping this is the first of many dishy specials to come!

A Must-Watch: Chris Benz For Movado Collection!

movado_embed Sure, Times Square may be the NYE crowd favorite for New Yorkers, but we’d much rather watch the clock strike twelve nestled indoors with a timepiece from the Chris Benz for Movado Bold Collection snuggled up to our wrist. This Benzian take on the time honored classic (the iconic Museum dot-dial “drips” and bears the designer’s signature smoke print on the strap) clocks in at $550. We’re determined to make it hours (get it?) before the ball drops!

Hailee Steinfeld Miu Miu Ad Pulled...'Cause She's Sitting On Train Tracks?

hailee-steinfeld-miumiu-MAIN

Miu Miu’s most recent ad with Hailee Steinfeld crying on train tracks has been pulled in the UK. We all know the UK’s Advertising Standard Agency (ASA) are real sticklers when it comes to censoring (recall that MJ ad with Dakota Fanning?). But this is just plain dumb. The ASA deemed the image “irresponsible because it depicted a child in an unsafe location,” according to The Telegraph.

The campaign was shot by the renowned Bruce Weber, and Prada Retail UK (who owns the Miu Miu brand) stated that it was clear that the True Grit actress “could have easily moved from where she was sitting because she was not restrained in any way.” Not to mention you would get up and off that track asap if you saw a train, if you had any sense at all. Persoanlly, we think this image is beautiful and not at all irresponsible — just another case of extreme censoring. But tell us: what are your thoughts on the ad campaign? (Telegraph UK)
