Were Freja Beha And Arizona Muse Dropped From The Chloe Campaign?
Rumor-mongers we are not, but is there trouble brewing in fash-paradise? Earlier this year, we gushed over the citrus-y shoot done by Freja Beha Erichsen and Arizona Muse for Chloé's spring '12 campaign, where the two donned accordion dresses and lounged at the Chateau Marmont. However, there appears to be something of a switch-eroo, as the ladies have been ditched in the ads in favor of a more straightforward Glen Luchford shoot with Karmen Pedaru and Kate King (the latter opened the spring runway show). The new, studio-shot campaign appeared in French Vogue, with an explanation saying that Freja and Arizona were only a rumor (even though Chloé confirmed it via Twitter). Hrm, maybe all's not well in paradise? (The Fashion Spot)

Photoshopping Controversies: What If The Photographer Was…The Bad Guy…
Mr. Evil Retoucher, aka the guy behind the guy behind the lens, gets a pretty bad rap. Some see him (or her) as the dark lord who holds the power to make our self-esteems plummet. With one click of a mouse, Gisele's chest gets bigger, Adriana Lima's tummy gets tighter (as if it's possible), and consequently, our body images sink and plates shrink. Well, according to Fashionista, this master manipulator selling us lies and fake eyelashes may not actually be the villain after all.
After the Taylor-gate brouhaha, Retouchers Anonymous has come forward to point the finger at the shoddy job fashion photogs do at shoots, claiming that lackluster efforts are expected to be fixed in post-production (which supposedly results in over-Photoshopping). No matter who's the true culprit, photo fixing is a fact of life, but it seems to us that it's a slippery slope that needs some serious regulation. Where do you weigh-in on this heavy topic?

David Yurman Accuses Kate Moss Of Posing Plagiarism
Okay, so here's the D-L: Kate Moss' latest ad for her Fred line is apparently a doppelgänger for pics she did for David Yurman's spring '11 campaign. The jeweler is, to put it crassly, pissed as all get out, claiming the whole tortured supplication thing she's got going on is pretty much indistinguishable from well, the whole tortured supplication thing she used to sell cable charms over at DY. Our fair Kate's taking some heat over the Bobsy shots, but we're wondering when poses became trademark-able? Don't most bauble campaigns include the same formula: bling + nudity + pouty looks? Check out this slideshow, and tell us where you stand.
Freaking Out! The First Photo Of Gemma Ward In The Great Gatsby
When news first broke that Gemma Ward would have a role in Baz Luhrman's MUCH anticipated Great Gatsby production, we couldn’t wait to see how our fave supermodel-turned-actress would rock the gorg twenties attire. Now photos of the Aussie stunner looking all glammed up and Gatsby-ified have come our way, and, well, it’s really making us really wish we didn’t have to wait a whole year for the film to debut. Miss Ward alongside the rest of the unreal cast (Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan who will be covered in Tiffany’s diamonds, Leo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway...it goes on) has our silver screen style chills on overdrive. Plus, we have a feeling that the adapation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel is going to be Baz’s best flick yet—forget the plot, we've got our Halloween costume on lock. Uhhh, can we book our tickets now? (Grazia UK)

What’s Going On With Lindsay Lohan’s Little Sister’s Face…
A few months ago, news broke that Ali Lohan, Lindsay’s 17-year-old little sister, was signed to NEXT Model Management. But recent photos have surfaced of the famous sibling—who now goes by the name Aliana—and she looks very, very different. Of course, everyone’s face changes as they grow up and mature, but we can’t help but wonder that maybe her new look isn’t a product of Mother Nature or totally healthy habits. She is a beautiful girl, before and after, but we certainly hope that Aliana isn’t the latest Lohan victim of too-much pressure too soon. (E)
Supermodel Super-News: Gemma Ward Cast In The Great Gatsby
Last week, we posted the first photos of Natalia Vodianova’s co-starring role in Belle Du Seigneur, and today, there's even more supermodel movie news: Gemma Ward has been cast in Baz Luhrman’s
The Great Gatsby
. The film, which also stars Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, and Leonardo DiCaprio, may not be Gemma’s first time sharing the screen with A-listers (who can forget her role as a Mermaid in Pirates Of The Caribbean?), but this will be her first "significant role," according to a source. Forget Prada’s next campaign, we bet Gemma’s setting her sights on an Oscar nod. (Fashionologie)
First Photos From Natalia Vodianova’s Big Hollywood Role…
Sure, she had bit parts in CQ and Clash Of The Titans, but Natalia Vodianova is making a real star turn in next year’s flick,
Belle du Seigneur
—and today, we’ve got the first photos from the set. Alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers and rock icon Marianne Faithfull, this will be Natalia Vodianova’s first real breakout role. The mother of three—who recently separated from husband, Justin Portman, and stepped out with new boyfriend, LVMH’s Antoine Arnault—certainly knows how to handle the spotlight and is a pro in front of the camera. We can’t wait to check her out on the big screen early next year. (ElleUK)Oo-La-La! Eva Herzigova Stuns In Cannes With This Tuxedo Ensemble

It's no surprise that celebs bring their A-game at the Cannes Film Festival—afterall, Cannes is where some of the most timeless films have debuted, where new stars are routinely born, and where the most prestigious awards in the field are given. One look in particular we're loving is Eva Herzigova's tuxedo-esque ensemble that is a perfect blend of masculine and feminine. Had her shirt been opaque, the outfit might have been a bit too stuffy and literal when paired with such an angular jacket. Its sheerness, however, with the pop of her black bra underneath, plus the uber sexiness of those red heels and those green statement earrings make this outfit outrageously chic. Don't even get us started on those legs, we're already dying of envy. C'est magnifique!
We’d Totally Buy Tickets To See Lara Stone Play A Bond Girl
Taking a page from Cindy Crawford and Gemma Ward’s playbook, it looks like Lara Stone may be the next super model looking to make a splash on the big screen. Though the face of Calvin Klein (and wife of star comedian David Williams) claims to not have given it much thought, she did admit to WWD, “I would make a great evil Bond girl!" Agreed.
Rumi Neely And Boyfriend Play Spies In Ralph Lauren Video
God knows we love us some Rumi Neely—just as much as we love Ralph Lauren. That's why this video for Ralph Lauren’s Big Pony #2 Fragrance starring and, we think, created by the Fashion Toast style blogger and her photog boyfriend, Colin Sokol, first landed in our laps as a bit of a head scratcher. We mean, yes, it's ably shot in beautiful black and white (with some nice red accents), stars one of our favorite hotels (the Soho Grand, which is practically up the block from our offices), and gives us a better look at Mr. Soko than we've perhaps ever had—but it's so wonderfully goofy and cheesy even in its sophistication, something we don't associate with either Lauren or Rumi. We'll give it this though—for a commercial, we won't soon forget it and it certainly brought a smile to our faces on this rainy day in NYC.
