Hinoki & the Bird
If chef David Myers of Comme Ça fame ever considered a side gig, the jet-set junkie could moonlight as a travel agent. To put it simply, his collection of passport stamps is out of control. The restarauteur's latest endeavor, Hinoki & the Bird, is a global collaboration of sorts — he's combined seasonal California grub with Japanese-style dining. The result: bold flavors in a farm-to-table setting, accompanied by traditions straight from Silk Road (a trip he actually took!). Naturally, you'll want to get gussied up for the swanky spot that calls the luxury condominium tower, The Century, home. Pair your curve-hugging black frock with a fierce pair of heels and eye-catching add-ons. Just don't forget that kimono-esque topper — like Myers' cooking, this number is the perfect balance of Topanga Canyon and Tokyo.
Hinoki & The Bird, 10 West Century Drive (at Avenue of the Stars); 310-552-1200.
