When was the "a-ha" moment you knew you wanted to dance professionally?
"It happened when I was dancing onstage as a little girl. I was very shy, but when I was performing I could be myself and be free. I really couldn't imagine doing anything else. Plus, I also loved to wear the beautiful costumes!"

What's the hardest demand you face to do what you love?
"The hardest part I've faced is dealing with the inevitable injuries along the way. You have to learn to listen to your body and know when to push through things and when to hold back. As professionals, we all have the mindset to push through pain, but you learn what your limits are and how to be smart about it."

What has been your favorite onstage costume of all-time? Least favorite?
"One of my favorite costumes was from the ballet Sleeping Beauty. It was an elegant tutu, and you couldn't help but feel beautiful in it. My least favorite was a plain nude leotard with nothing else. It was hard to feel comfortable, but you get past it once the curtain goes up and you have to give up all insecurities."
