Steven Alan's Spring '10 Line Makes Us Want to Unplug the Phone & Hit the Road In Style!

A late-summer BBQ with a bunch of friends, an escape to anywhere that has no cellphone service—the reprieves we crave while flipping through Steven Alan's spring '10 line takes us right out of the metropolis and into the countryside. The men's line, mostly our favorite button-up shirts and mildly bleached dark denim jeans, is dominated by Alan's tried-and-true plaids in a spectrum of mint and blues (and because real men wear pink, that's in there, too). The women's collection features tablecloth checks, classic stripes, and inconspicuous florals on woven separates that are gathered and cuffed in all the right places. Alan's latest deliveries are definitely soul-mates, and, in fact, Steven Alan has the cinematic proof. His new short film, featuring two young lovers and their wardrobe on a backdrop of corn fields and vintage wallpaper, confirms our suspicions that, country or city, these clothes are an ideal uniform for the good life.
