Prada Goes For Deconstructed Chic In Their Fun and Kooky Fall Lookbook
Talk about mixed media—Prada opted to go the crafty route for next season's lookbook, using a haphazard cut-up technique to substitute stark, branchy backgrounds for the lithe limbs and pretty faces of model Meghan Collison and Lara Stone. All of fall '09's runway delights are there—the tweedy bloomers, fisherman's boots with garters, and solemnly stylish frocks—and despite the eye-catching doodles and scribbles, we find ourselves paying more attention to the clothes than anything else, making us wonder if découpage could be the next big advertising coup.
