New Label Alert! Sachin and Babi Do Shimmery, Shiny, Pretty Resort

Husband and wife team Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia may have just launched their ready-to-wear label, Sachin and Babi for Ankasa, last August, but that doesn't mean they don't have plenty of experience working for houses like de la Renta, YSL, and Derek Lam. Their pretty Resort '10 collection, however, is really a coup for the young label, as it's filled with the kind of draping, pleating, fabrics, and finishes you'd expect from an industry heavy-hitter. We love the metallic glimmer of many of the pieces, as well as the shiny, crinkled pants and the jeweled accents finishing off belts and dresses. Just right for their Upper East Side furniture-meets-fashion boutique, which we'll definitely be stopping by when the line hits stores.
