Marais' Latest Shoe Collection Has Got Everything On Your Fall Checklist

Keeping up with the whims of the fashion metropolis is enough to exhaust anyone's wallet (not to mention their feet). But for Catherine Chen and Haley Boyd, enough was enough. Their easy-to-wear shoe line, named after a flamboyant district in Paris, embodies the well-traveled know-how of two New York design students who turned their shoe shopping woes into wearable solutions: "Simple, Versatile, Essential styles" for ladies who walk with a purpose. The new Marais USA fall '09 lookbook showcases the smart-looking collection of faux lambskin, faux Nappa leather, and other cruelty-free alternatives on a backdrop of hardwood and throw rugs. The wide array of styles, worn by a collective of pretty young things lounging around a comfy abode, are anything but tired. And with the priciest pair around $150, these are shoes with some serious mileage.
