Jeffrey Monteiro Has Frocks So Comfy You'll Think You're Wearing PJs
For centuries, women have twisted and pulled their bodies in the name of fashion. From the rib-crushing, laced corsets of French antiquity to the toe-killer Louboutins in our closets, style can sometimes be the worst form of discipline. But when we saw these shots from Jeffery Monteiro's Spring '10 collection, our faith in all that's cute and comfortable was restored. With slouchy silk bermudas, draped skirts and delicate shifts, his effortless aesthetic has all the ease of a sweatpant. Drawing inspiration from his international upbringing, the collection is a combination of western extravagance and eastern minimalism. It may be premature to be planning our warm weather wardrobe, but it's easy to be in denial when we have clothes like these to look forward to!
