Get Shorty: Alice Ritter's Life-Changing Spring Trousers

Okay, who hasn't discovered an article of clothing—you know, the perfect tuxedo jacket or a simple black day dress—that seems to say, "This piece will change my life. I know it. I simply cannot go on without it." It sounds a little ridiculous, but I will be the first to superficially admit that I have propelled wardrobe staples to literal life-changing proportions. And so it was the case when I cracked open Alice Ritter's spring lookbook. Her cropped baggy pleated trousers CALLED to me. Why I completely missed these during Fashion Week is beyond me. But now that I know they exist, my whole spring season will be remarkably different. Yes, Ritter has cut some other equally compelling pieces in this lineup: a tiered cotton dress and a knife-pleat skirt in saturated yellow stand out…but those trousers. I'm sold!
