Be Still Our Hearts! Our Ode to Duskin's Spring 2010 Line

At the risk of sounding crush-drunk and subjective, we have but one word for the Duskin Spring 2010 lookbook: Lovely. Feminine, soft silhouettes seem to yield to the whims of every modern romantic strolling down Bedford Ave. A white cotton dress coated with spiraling eyelets flows seamlessly with a high-waisted floral skirt and sweetheart neckline dress. Simplistic fabrics are accented with beaded motifs and rope belts, while a sequined vest and black sharp-shouldered jacket provide an evening uniform fit for breaking hearts. Upper East Side renaissance woman Rebecca Schiffman, whose to-do list we can't even begin to imagine, is picture perfect in the wearable, dreamy collection against a faded blue backdrop. We've got to wonder if the designer/musician/artist/zine-editor won't trade in her signature jeans & t-shirt look for this parade of comely accouterments.
