Just because you don't have a thousand dollars to burn doesn't mean it's not fun to play voyeur with the people who do. In fact, watching the shopping patterns of the rich and spendy on luxury sites and shops is like playing a "guess-who" game with the 1%.
WWD just surveyed a few high-end retailers who reported on their biggest sellers. To wit, there are the more obvious items like the PS1 bag and the YSL Tribute heel, which are still big hits, but there are also more random pieces: M Missoni's $135 keychains of creepy crocheted dolls and those joke cord phones that plug into your cell phone have been big sellers, too. Also, who out there is still buying those Alexander McQueen skull scarves? Eccentric Aunt Delilah — is that you? (WWD)
