"I've been here for 67 years. Where were you guys?" This is fashion stylist, skincare mogul, and all-around icon Linda Rodin's answer for why her style's so damn enviable. And it's about time we hear her out, because she gets that question constantly.
Rodin broadcasts this thought — as well as other musings on life, New York City, and all things beauty and style — in her new miniseries, Blue Couch Candids. Perched upon her favorite piece of furniture, an aquamarine-blue couch ("I love blue," she says, "and I think it's because I'm a Pisces and I love the water"), the 67-year-old welcomes viewers into her Chelsea apartment, lending her fans — both old and young — less than ten seconds of boiled-down, essential Linda wisdom in each clip.
Her other insightful gems include: As you get older, you need less makeup (F.Y.I.: Linda only wears lipstick); flea markets are like casinos (and thus, shoppers are like gamblers); and heels are super-overrated. As her anecdotes continue to roll out, we're expecting tons more knowledge worth stowing away.
