"My most beloved pair of Levi's are ripped, light washed, vintage jean shorts that originally belonged to my old roommate. I borrowed the cutoffs one day last summer and literally hoarded them in my room, wearing them almost every day (I took them to the Hamptons with me, to Brazil, etc). In return, I leant her a pair that I had. When she moved out, we couldn't part with our new pairs. It was almost as if these were meant for me all along. They're too big on the top (I have to roll them to fit) and too ripped in the butt (there's a huge tear across the back), but they're so comfortable and make me feel really at home in whatever I'm wearing. I'll consider repairing them for this summer, but either way, I know they've got a lot more life left in them."
