"These are my favorite, long-lived in pair of 501s! A few years ago I was looking to DIY the perfect pair of cutoff denim shorts. I loved the light-medium blue wash, heavier woven denim fabric, mid-rise (not too low, not too high), and button-fly. They seemed built for folding over swimsuits and I knew they would fray well. When I went to put them on to measure for optimal shorts length I was like, 'Woah, these are keepers — no shorts for you! They work best pegged, rolled, or neatly cuffed and paired with heels."
