While she hasn't exactly translated her Gossip Girl starring turn into the dizzying heights of Blake Lively's fashion cred (or, for that matter, Lively's acting resume), Leighton Meester proves she's definitely on the B+ list, whether it be her posing for Missoni or her Harper's Bazaar cover. Sure, it's not Chanel and Vogue, but her style sheet is nothing to sneeze at. So, we're going to notch her grade up to an A- with her newest campaign for Vera Wang's Lovestruck fragrance, launching this fall. The Carter Smith shot advertisement, helmed by Creative Director Trey Laird, is billed as a "modern day love story," and features a sultry/dreamy Leighton perching on a fire escape (shades of Chanel?) in a Vera Wang couture gown, ignoring her, well, love struck suitor. We hope she errs towards this look at tonight's Met Ball, rather than that Louis Vuitton number she work back in '09. In any case, she'll smell lovely.
