Learn How To Be A Good Indian Girl With This How-To Website

While we get some weird subservient connotations with the name (we've never particularly wanted to be "Good Girls" as much as we did "Awesome People"), we're pretty into the concept of this new site, Good Indian Girl. Many women today are second-generation ethnic-Americans or are looking to reconnect with their cultural heritage, and would love to find some web-based help when family members or friends just aren't available. This new site (the first of a series of websites to include Good Jewish Girl, Good Japanese Girl, and more) features a bunch of how-to videos and tutorials including "How to tie a sari," "How to pair wine with Indian food," and the uber-interesting "How to thread." The videos are easy to follow and presented with a wink, and manage to feel charming and personal in its DIY-ness. Visit the website, here, and check back on Refinery29 for updates on expansion to other demographics!
