Next up, the team shares four delicious energy breakfasts.
I’m not one to ever skip breakfast. I truly believe the old adage that claims it’s the most important meal of the day. And, being someone who likes to get my workout done before 9 a.m., it’s important that I fuel the rest of my day the proper way. My usual go-tos are overnight oats and fruit and veggie smoothies, but when the weather is chilly I like to start my morning with something a little toasty (pun intended). Enter: Ezekiel bread.
I’ve eaten Ezekiel bread for years now and it’s so good for you. For one, it’s made from sprouted live grains and contains absolutely no flour. It’s also free of added sugar. In short, Ezekiel bread is packed with nutrients and it won’t give you a sugar crash that most carbs do. It gives you energy throughout the morning, which is exactly why I call these four recipes “energy” breakfasts.
I’ve been rotating between these four variations to keep my taste buds excited each morning. Two are savory and two are sweet, so there’s something for everyone. Without further ado, here are my four favorite energy breakfasts.

Egg Sunny Side Up, Spinach, And Mushrooms
This egg and veggie combo gives your body everything it needs in the mornings. The bread will keep you full until lunch and the protein from the egg will give you energy. Plus, nutrient-rich spinach is one of the best leafy greens to start off your day.

Plain Greek Yogurt, Blueberries, And A Sprinkle Of Cinnamon
If you have a sweet tooth, this one is for you. You will get a protein and probiotic boost from the Greek yogurt, and major antioxidants from the blueberries. Instead of using sugary honey on top, I sprinkled a pinch of cinnamon for a low-calorie kick.

Peanut Butter And Strawberries
While it may be simple, this energy breakfast is satisfying and delicious. Peanut butter on toast is one of my go-to snacks, but I like to add in some vitamin C-rich strawberries to help boost my immune system.

Egg Sunny Side Up, Avocado, And Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Being a self-professed avocado addict, this last recipe is my favorite of the four. Simply spread avocado on your bread, sprinkle some crushed red pepper, and top it off with an egg. The avocado will give your body healthy fats that promote shiny hair and glowing skin and the red pepper will give your metabolism a little boost too. If you’re a Sriracha fan, feel free to sub the spicy sauce for the crushed red pepper.
These recipes are all vegetarian and I guarantee they will keep you energized until lunchtime. They are also great for midmorning snacks or lunch with a small side salad. And they’re all 7 Days to Skinny Jeans approved!
Now the only question is which energy breakfast will you try first?
