How To Get The Longest Lashes

lash-extension-procedures-nyc
Dramatic, doe-like eyelashes have long been the hallmark of femininity—and for good reason—nothing is more seductive than gorgeously lidded bedroom eyes. Eyelash curlers and our favorite tube of mascara help; however, a plethora of alternative lash treatments have been popping up citywide. Eyelash perms, dye-jobs, Latisse, and even extensions are de rigueur, but we still tear up thinking about the glue/dye/needle-wielding aesthetician hovering above our peepers. In our quest to achieve the most flutter-packed lashes (without resorting to prescriptions), we've scoured the city for the best, longest-lasting (think weeks, not days) and most importantly, safest treatments. We've lined up some great deals for lashionistas (yes, we just made that up), since saving cash is nothing to bat your... well, you know.

Here are our picks of the 3 Best eyelash treatments around:

1. Lavilash: Dubbing itself an "eyelash parlor," Lavilash's owner Kiki specializes in a curling, Japanese-invented Eyelash Perm. Using a mild cream and a fitted lash "roller", a curling agent is applied to the eyes to give an eye-opening effect. Not only does Kiki teach the technique to other salons, but she says the treatment, which takes 45 minutes and includes a collagen conditioner, should leave lashes healthier.
R29 DEAL: To brighten up your day (and look), Lavilash is giving 20% off top-lid eyelash curling procedures (regularly $50) til next Wednesday. Just mention Refinery29!

Lavilash, 1239 Broadway, #1610 (between 31st and 32nd streets); 212-537-4760.

2. Boom Boom Brow Bar: The fun, pink and gold (with zebra-print) interior of Boom Boom usually caters to waxing and brows, but the "Tammy Faye Lash Tint" darkens lids and makes them more dramatic—like mascara, minus the clumping. Do double duty and get your brows tinted too, cutting your morning makeup routine in half. Plus, it will look great at the Boom Boom Room.
R29 DEAL: Get a free lip wax with a purchase of an eyelash tint at Boom Boom Brow Bar. Seriously, you may need it.

Boom Boom Brow Bar, 35 7th Avenue (at 13th Street); 212-229-2666.

3. Wink Eyelash: Maybe you've curled, maybe you've dyed, but for extreme, breath-taking baby blues (or browns, or greens), nothing is more glamorous than hair-by-hair eyelash extensions. Costly, requiring touch-ups and yet undeniably gorgeous, the procedure takes one-to-two hours but leaves mascara obsolete. Wink's midtown oasis offers a range of lengths and thicknesses, from the basic 70 lashes per eye ($95) to the "Hollywood," ($185) a staggering 150 lash procedure with customizations or shaping. Permanent cat eyes, anyone?

Wink Eyelash, 128 W. 36th St., 2nd Floor (between Broadway and Seventh Avenue); 212-594-9465.
