Two years ago, as the cover girl of Vogue’s highly coveted upcoming September issue, Lady Gaga announced that she would be coming out with a fragrance that would smell like blood and semen. Today, we can finally announce that we have new intel on the perfume and we’re more intrigued than ever before.
Aptly named “Fame,” the scent comes in the form of a black liquid that reportedly changes color when applied to skin. A blood sample from the Mother Monster herself was used in the fragrance formula as a means of “[extracting] the feeling and sense of blood and semen from molecular structures,” according to Gaga. Contrary to what was first reported, however, “Fame” will not smell like blood and semen, but rather “like an expensive hooker.” Yum!

The fragrance will be available come August, and Steven Klein, producer of Gaga’s “Alejandro” music video, is reportedly working on a short vid for this singular olfactory experience. While we can't predict what kind of stops Gaga will pull out for the launch, we have high hopes—this is a woman who walked got carried down a red carpet in an egg, after all. Let's hope she doesn't wear white. (Oh No They Didn't)
