Where’s the best NYC flower shop?
"I will admit, that I do have two favorites. L. Becker Flowers is what I would imagine the haute couture salon under the direction of Christian Dior himself to have been like. It is the epitome of elegance, grace, and style. The shop is always the place I go when I need to recharge my creative battery. It also has a beautiful collection of antiques. Proprietors, Larry Becker and his partner Roger Crowley have created a shop of the highest caliber.
My second favorite is not in Manhattan, but I have to mention it. Saipua is located in Brooklyn and run by Sarah Ryhaven. I once received a bouquet from them and was blown away by the choice of plant material, colors, and textures. Their style is very loose, casual, modern, and bohemian. Depending on who I am buying flowers for, I know that between L. Becker and Saipua I will be thanked many times over."
