Speedy German Import: BLESS Comes to NYC

bless.jpg

This just in: The cutting-edge, Paris- and Berlin-based fashion collective and design store BLESS is flying into town to set up their first U.S.-based pop-up shop in our very own Lower East Side. A fixture on the German anti-conventionalist scene for years, the often draussen and always uebtertrieben brand--founded and lead by Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag--has kept ahead of the market and mainstream style with their subversive clothing, interior design, advertising campaigns, and sundry projects. Now their work, which ranges from colorful, deconstructed sweaters to tongue-in-cheek chair covers, will be available from June 27 through July 13 on Ludlow between Grand and Hester streets. Mark your calendars and get down there tout suite: The Germans are known for their punctuality.

Bless Pop-Up Shop, 38 Ludlow Street, 212-228-6848, www.bless-service.de, open June 27th through July 13th.
