Of Course This Is Happening: Jersey Shore, The Musical

So this is highbrow: Thrillist reports today that the inevitable has happened (see video)—the cultural phenomenon that is Jersey Shore is being served up to Manhattanites in the form of theatre. Or rather, "Jersey Shoresical: A Frickin' Rock Opera." Billed a "hilarious send-up of your favorite Guidos and Guidettes," this musical is coming to the NYC Fringe Festival, and counts a drag queen and a former British pop star among the overly spray-tanned cast. Our favorite part? The production is narrated by a "Greek Chorus of drunk girls called The Random Sluts," who provide relief from such numbers as "B*tch in a Bed," and "Grow Some Balls."
