Age Is Just A #: Tavi & Iris Apfel Join Forces This Sunday, We're There

Who says age matters?! It certainly doesn't when it comes to fashion icons 16-year-old Tavi Gevinson and 90-year-old Iris Apfel. Both known for their standout style and boundless quirk, Rookie Mag’s Tavi and style star Iris are coming together to celebrate the merging of generations (and fabulousness) this Sunday at the Met. In conjunction with the museum's Prada and Schiaparelli: Impossible Conversations exhibit, the duo is hosting a discussion titled, Good Taste/Bad Taste: The Evolution of Contemporary Chic.
The talk will explore what it means to be sartorially savvy in the 21st century, and who better to hash out the topic than the two women whose own styles seem to transcend time and age. Sure, it may be weird calling Tavi (who entered the fashion industry at the ripe age of 11) a woman, but just look at her with that eyeliner and headdress! Although the 70-year-plus age gap makes Tavi and Iris seem unlikely friends, their combined spunk and fashion know-how will surely create a conversation not to miss. Like watching your kid sister talk to your grandma... if they were both the most well-dressed girls in their age-set. (MTV Style)
