Purr Genius: Oakland To Host Internet Cat Video Festival

mainWhen it comes to outdoor celebrations, we'd like to think we've seen it all. But, then we caught wind of the upcoming Oakland Internet Cat Video Festival that gives feline fans their very own heyday — an event that may just put the Folsom Street Fair to shame. In fact, we think this may be the most eccentric fête out there.

Brought to us by the Great Wall of Oakland (the good folks that organize outdoor movie screenings), this feline festival will be a day of, you guessed it — awesome viral cat videos. Attendees can also get their paws on kitty-centric trinkets from vendors on the scene, and even set their sights on the "Save A Kitten" stage. Hitting up this event will set you back $5 to $75 big ones (the latter for VIP admission), but all proceeds will benefit the East Bay SPCA. So, all you crazy (and not crazy) cat ladies (and gents) can look forward to this rad festival, coming to O-Town this Saturday!

When: Saturday, May 11, 3 to 10 p.m.
Where: Great Wall Of Oakland, (at Broadway and West Grand avenues), Oakland; No phone.
Tickets: Buy them here!
