When it comes to lining your eyes, you probably don't need us to tell you the basics. But there is one part, at least for us, we never can seem to master quite like we want to: lining our inner rims. Effectively coating your waterline can be a tricky and sometimes painful experience, but it's an absolute necessity if you really want to nail that super-sultry eye look.
We haven't put this trick into our day-to-day beauty routines, simply because we haven't been able to replicate the correct look with any regularity. Also, we're still a little squeamish about sticking a pencil into our eyeball. A move like that requires some professional hand-holding (not literally — we're not trying to blind ourselves), so we called in makeup artist James Vincent to show assistant beauty editor Tara the ropes. Girl-next-door makeup this is not — watch the video to get the down and dirty details on how to master inner eyeliner.
