What's your favorite part about your apartment?
"It took me quite a while to get to the point where I didn't have an urge to change something every time I walked in the front door. But, I think my favorite area is the living room — especially when the weather is nice and I can leave my front door open. That helps create the illusion that the space is larger."
What's the key to decorating a smaller pad without making it look cluttered?
"Because the ceilings are pretty low, I make sure I don't bring in any furniture that's too overwhelming for the size of the space. I even seriously focused on details like the size of the pillows on the sofa — it seems so silly to me now, but it took me years to commit to those pillows."
What's been the biggest splurge in your abode?
"My biggest spend was the rug in my living room. It's an antique Turkish rug that I actually found in Spain while on a walk to get ice cream. It was an easy decision — that rug was definitely coming home with me!"
