What's the key to decorating a smaller pad without making it look cluttered?
"Organization. Luckily, my place has a lot of closets with tons of storage. I actually have a lot of accessories in my apartment, but I try to keep them in certain areas and then allow other areas to be lighter and more sparse. For example, I have shelves in my dining room that are filled with objects and books, so I tried to keep the amount of books and accessories lower in the adjacent living room."

Have you done any DIYs in your place? If so, spill!
"I put up the chandelier in the dining room myself, which isn't a big deal, except I've never done it before. I totally thought I was going to die! I also made a lot of the art in my apartment and painted all the walls myself. I'm a firm believer in painting your own house. It's a good core exercise and it's really satisfying, especially for people like me who studied painting and love being drenched in it."
