Yesterday, New York's finest pulled out their fancy wares to attend the Hugo Boss Prize 2010 at the Guggenheim museum, an award-ceremony-cum-monster-party that recognizes a single contemporary artist who "created truly inventive works of art." Anouck Lepere, Olympia Scarry, and Eugenia Niarchos were among the art-istas (yes, we said it) who walked the pretty-in-pink carpet to celebrate this year's winner, Hans-Peter Feldman, whose work will be on display at the institution come summer '11. Inside, the rosy glow continued, amping up the crowd's attractiveness a point or two. To take full advantage of the flattering illumination, the young culture set grooved to Sebastien Perrin beats—party-goers would be forgiven if, at first glance, they though they were shimmying in a space-age club. Others used the complimentary overheads to rekindle romance—just look to power art couple Andrew Goldstein and Sarah Goulet recreating Andie and Blaine's first kiss. Also on display? Theodora Richard's shearling coat à la Burberry and Anouck's fitted white fur and cognac elbow-length gloves, a look that evoked an afternoon tea party gone south, hard. And while we'd love to tell you it was all about the art, we woke up wanting that fuchsia brilliance permanently installed everywhere we go.
