Mary Kong DeVito, blogger at Girl Meets Food

What are your New Year's resolutions, and why?
"I resolve to watch what I eat and work out more, because being an overweight food writer is predictable and sooo unsexy."

Have you managed to keep them so far?
"I'm gaining momentum. It's hard for me to get motivated in the winter. But I'm trying on the concept of 'eating like a bird,' and though foreign to me, I'm finding it works. Apparently, I don't have to treat every meal like a buffet."

Has anything helped you stick with it?
"I enjoy going to boxing, spinning, and yoga classes at the gym. It's the only way you'll get me to stay for an hour. The constant barking of the instructor helps, too."

What's the biggest obstacle to keeping your resolution?
"My all-consuming love of food. It's just too good around these here parts."
