What are your New Year's resolutions, and why?
"Do yoga regularly (four to six times per week), and use our indoor rowing machine (my husband and I bought it for each other for Christmas). I tend to work out in cycles, and I just feel so much better when I'm regularly working out. I also want to become more advanced in my yoga poses and look amazing for my big 3-0 birthday coming up this spring."

Have you managed to keep them so far?
"I was doing great — I was going to yoga six times a week until I tried to push myself a little too far into a pose, and stretched my back further than it wanted to be stretched. So, unfortunately, I had to take a break until my back felt better. I'm not trying to hurt myself, and now I know how far I can go. Lesson learned. As soon as I get back from a business trip, I'll be back on my almost-daily schedule. When you sit at a computer all day long, nothing feels better than a good yoga session."

Has anything helped you stick with it?
"I invested in quality yoga gear — a great mat, bag, towels, and a few pieces of clothing that I wear constantly. (I could use a few more tops and bottoms so I don't have to constantly do the laundry.) By investing in nice gear and paying for classes, I definitely don't waste them. For me, when I invest money in something like yoga classes or Crossfit, I will use it and go to the classes. I'm not one of those people who gets a gym membership and never goes — I'm the one who actually uses their membership to the fullest."

What's the biggest obstacle to keeping your resolution?
"I don't live right by the two yoga studios I go to. One is a bit of trek, and the other depends on if it's rush hour — so really it's just time, travel, parking, or if the bus/metro is on time that is an obstacle. Or if I get wrapped up in working and miss the last class of the night."
