Check Out The Debut Of MTV's All-New House Of Style

It's back, folks! After a 12-year hiatus (and an abandoned relaunch), MTV's legendary House Of Style has finally returned. As we told you Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls are the supes picking up Cindy Crawford's mic, and their first stop included taking it to Paris Fashion Week for an inside peek. Now, this isn't your older sister's House Of Style (Ed. Note: Uh, you mean our own House of Style, right?). With a documentary style more appropriate for online viewing (in fact, there is something a little Jersey Shore about the editing/music, in the new iteration), this House sports fewer interviews and crazy stand-up segments (for now). Still, with up-close interviews with Stella McCartney, M.I.A., Jean Paul Gaultier, and others, these ladies are off to a great start. McCartney gave it a thumbs-up!
The crazy thing about this new version is that, since the focus is shifted more toward the models rather than simply on the celebs being interviewed, you've got Karlie and Joan in full fashion show dress, hair, and makeup prancing around in an unprecedented backstage look. We get to see them working out, on the road at 7 a.m., and hanging out with their friends — not that they look anything less than perfect while doing so. Check out the latest generation of House Of Style above and tell us if it can live up to the original.
