1. Cribbage. "It's a Canadian card game that I grew up playing. I was constantly told not to count on my fingers. I can now find sums of 15 as created by any number of cards in my diamond sharp mind thanks to Cribbage."
2. My Jeans. "I think they are Nasty Mondays or Dirty Mondays or something. But my friend, photographer Mary Rozzi, bought them for me and they fit better than any jeans I've ever bought for myself. I don't know the brand name bc the patch was enormous and silly looking and I took it off with a seam ripper."
3. Moleskin notebooks. "I prefer the mid-sized ones. Unruled. With a thin felt tip pen hooked onto the top of it and secured by the elastic. It's the elastic and the inside pocket that make it so desirable."
4. Fiction. "I can't narrow this down. Books. Ondaatje, Morrison, Bulgakov, Steinbeck, Franzen, Zadie Smith, Dickens, Voltaire, Chabon. Some non-fiction also gets me. Most recently the amazing Short History of Progress by Ronald Wright."
5. Badminton. "I played a lot this summer. Also called Goodminton, depending on whether I would win or not."
Feist's latest album, The Reminder, was recently released on Interscope records.
