Vanity Fair’s Best Dressed Overlooked

vanity-fair-best-dressed-list
We're suckers for any kind of best-dressed list, but the Vanity Fair 2010 International Best-Dressed list is always a biggie. There are the requisite first ladies, rich wives, and European royalty (this year, H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, Michelle Obama, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Samantha Cameron, and Wendi Murdoch made the cut) and industry vets (we love you Alexandra Kotur and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld!), but in terms of celebs, we definitely felt it a little lacking. Yes, we love Helena Bonham Carter for her spectacularly kooky sensibility and incredible acting talents, but is she really internationally best-dressed material? And while we were stoked to see Carey Mulligan and Diane Kruger, who we totally adore, why no mention of Chloë Sevigny, Alexa Chung, or The Olsens who are all not only hugely influential style icons, but also have their own budding design empires. Graydon, what gives?
