The Best Holiday Makeup Tutorials For Every Beauty Personality

The holidays are rapidly approaching, which gives us a myriad of reasons to get excited. At the top of the list: holiday makeup, obviously. There’s nothing quite like spicing up our beauty routine to make the season feel even merrier.
But, not everybody’s idea of holiday makeup consists of red lips and shimmery, gold lids. So, in an effort to find the most stunning looks for every personality, we've scouted tutorials from some of YouTube’s most prominent beauty vloggers.
Needless to say, YouTube’s leading ladies didn't let us down. So, whether your goal is to shine like a disco ball, play with bold color, or channel a vintage vibe, one of these fabulous how-tos will inspire you — even if you're not a makeup lover.

For The Vintage Vixen
In this flawless tutorial, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury showcases how to channel your inner Marilyn through ultra-flirty lashes and scarlet-lacquered lips. Tilbury creates a sultry eye with a slight feline flick and adds false lashes for even more oomph. To add to the bombshell vibe, she cheats a fuller pout by drawing slightly outside the lip line with a pencil and then going in with a ruby lipstick. She finishes with a swipe of cherry gloss. It's classic holiday makeup at its best!
For The Color Addict
Honestly, is there anything that screams "holiday party" more than glittery, colorful eyes? We think not. In this tutorial, the lovely Lisa Eldridge teaches us how to achieve a gorgeous sparkly eye by using bold shadows and glitter liner. Eldridge assures us that you can use any hue you want to get this look — however, purple complements and enhances almost every eye color.
For The Lazy Girl
Don’t have the patience to apply several shadows, liner, and mascara? We feel you. Here, Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup expertly creates a sexy smoky eye using only two products. First item on the menu is a bronze-hued, waterproof cream shadow, which she pats onto her entire lid and outward for a slightly winged-out effect. Then, she uses a fluffy blending brush to diminish any harsh edges. To further define the eyes, she smudges some brown into her waterline and the outer corners of her upper lashline. To complete this stress-free makeup how-to, she adds two coats of mascara for look-at-me lashes. Easy enough, right?

For The Scrooge
Holidays not your thing? Ditch the crimson lips for mauve and get your '90s-grunge-girl on. Nic Haste, half of the Pixiwoo duo, walks us through how to channel Kate Moss from her golden era. The first step? Smoked-out eyes, which she achieves by applying a coffee-colored shadow all over the lid and along the lower lashline. For a subtle metallic touch, she adds MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy along the upper lashline and in the waterline. As for that pout, she uses a liner to trace and finishes by blending in the pinky-brown shade.
For The No-Makeup Lover
Whether it’s the holiday season or not, bold, glamorous makeup is not everyone’s cup of tea. But, you can still be a stunner with a minimal face. Here, Ruth Crilly from A Model Recommends showcases a look that we consider to be one step above the "no-makeup makeup" we’ve been seeing everywhere lately. Crilly keeps the skin natural-looking with a lightweight base and a dab of concealer under the eyes. The eyes are simple and dewy with a slightly shimmery cream shadow all over the lids, and a taupe shadow in the creases and swept across the lower lashlines. To finish, she adds a subtle highlight and paints the lips nude for a candlelit effect. It is, as she points out, the perfect makeup for being photographed — without going overboard.
