We get a hoot out of obsessively snapping and beautifying our every day encounters — no secret there. And while we relish in capturing and sharing these moments and truly believe that a picture is worth a thousand words, the inner-journo geek in us just wants to see some accompanying text (we can’t help it!). Well, Hipstamatic can relate. The photo-based app (with an awe-inspiring SoMa office!) has just launched a lifestyle iPad ‘zine aptly titled Snap.
The digital mag boasts eight sections that cover art, culture, fashion, and music...you know, everything we’re fixated on uploading. Oh, and the coolest part about it? All but two pics are taken directly from Hipstamatic. And ladies, get excited come September, because the first fashion issue will launch. “It will be 100% focused on fashion. Amazing designers, beautiful clothes, and inspiring photography," says Molli Sullivan, Hipstamatic’s director of communications. We’re amped already!
In addition to the virtual glossy, the company is launching a global art contest. Just tag pics #makebeautiful and upload to Twitter and your image might just make an appearance on Hipstamatic’s new site Make Beautiful. What are you waiting for — get busy!
