Rad Or Bad: Eddie Borgo’s “Hand Jacket”

We're just going to come right out and say it: This looks like a corset for our hands. A hand corset, if you will. There's a whole lot of chain, spiky bracelet, and ring action happening here, so let's discuss! Could it be the new going-out staple for the cool-girl set? Or, is it statement-jewelry overload? No matter where you land, we can all agree that this accessory is definitely a fine piece of craftsmanship from designer Eddie Borgo.
Of course, the argument can be made that it's a bit too avant-garde for the tastes of commercial consumers, falling under the umbrella of "things only fashion people like." But, then again, it's not quite so in-your-face as pajama dressing or leather sweatpants. Plus, the "hand corset" is a small touch of bling that could be just right for a Saturday night out. And, if nothing else, it definitely makes for a fun conversation piece.
This editor does have one major bone to pick with the design, though. Namely, it's meant to be sported on your left hand. Lefties, like myself, will probably have a tough time wearing the piece for any extended period of time. But, if you like the niche item enough, it really shouldn't be too big of a deal.
So, readers, tell us: Can you dig this kooky jewelry contraption, and, more importantly, would you wear it? If you said yes to the latter, click ahead to shop nine iterations (including a few subtler options) that will surely make a statement.
