18 Legendary L.A. Ghost Stories & Spooky Spots To Hit For Halloween!

For some, hitting the party circuit for Halloween may seem more gruesome than a Freddy Krueger-Chucky hybrid (personally, we'll be holed up at the Chateau with gal pals and Ouija boards!). If you're not down for a rager, but aren't the type to get your kicks keeping the porch light on for the wee ones, either, it still doesn't mean you have to be a complete snooze. L.A.'s teeming with legit spine-tingling to-dos and macabre must-sees — and that doesn't even begin to touch on the town's rich, hair-raising history.
To prove our point, we've lined up a cheat sheet of haunted houses, forests, bridges, and even ships to visit for sh*ts and giggles (and shudders) tomorrow. And, for those of you donning crazy getups and raging all night long, we have plenty of wicked Tinseltown ghost stories to serve as pre-costume-ball fodder. However, a warning to the wussies: Hold on to your hats, because this one's a real doozy!
