The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel
Oh, if these walls could talk! In addition to lodging throngs of tourists and playing host to epic wee-hours parties, the historic Roosevelt supposedly houses the ghosts of both Montgomery Clift and Marilyn Monroe. Clift can be heard playing the trumpet and reciting lines from his famous (and ironically named) film From Here To Eternity in room 928, while the reflection of Norma Jean has been seen in a mirror that was once located in her suite and now resides in a room on the lower level. A legend we've never even heard before? Apparently there's a "cold spot" in the Blossom Ballroom that's about 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the room. Um, who else is bringing their thermometer to sleuth it the next time they hit the Spare Room?

The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor
In the '30s, Long Beach's mother ship was once the fancy schmancy H20 transport for stars and royalty. When World War II struck, it did its civic duty and went to battle. Now, it remains docked as a hotel and venue, but with that long of a past, it's not without some sinister stories. Door 13 in the engine room has crushed two men who are said to still haunt the watercraft. A young woman was murdered in room B340, and that cabin is barred from renters to this day. Another girl drowned in one of the pools, and visitors have scoped ladies in '30s-style swimsuits at the pools, despite their closures for over 30 years. Rather than disown its spooky past, the QM observes all of the craziness with an October-fest of the frightful kind, where you'll find mazes, cocktails, live music, and more than 45,000 scares per hour.
