The Blumhouse of Horrors
Have you been able to sit through Paranormal Activity? Yeah, we were too big of weenies to even watch the entire previews! Well, the producers behind the flick have overtaken the Variety Arts Theater downtown, which has previously been closed to the public save for movie and fashion shoots. They claim the site's possessed and was shuttered until now due to a tragic accident. We're not 100% if the twisted (and ambiguous) myths they're spinning are true after reading through countless failed financial revivals of the building, but we're still planning on taking a stroll through tomorrow night. After all, if Hollywood's horror heavy hitters can't creep us out, then our imaginations may need a serious reboot!

Paramour Mansion
We've had plenty of photo shoots at this Silver Lake location, and can tell you firsthand that we never wanted to be left alone anywhere on the grounds. Instant chills ascend your spine upon entering the beautiful Canfield-Moreno Estate, which was built in 1923 by silent-film star Antonio Moreno and his wife, Daisy Canfield Danziger. After a night of partying, Daisy's car went over the cliffs of Mulholland Drive. It's a mystery whether her death was an accident, but plenty of peeps have claimed the property is haunted by Ms. Danziger — and they're not regular old schmoes, either. Many bands have set up shop at the home to record, and they have anecdotes aplenty. My Chemical Romance's song “Sleep” was inspired by singer Gerard Way's feeling of being strangled and unable to wake up, the drummer Bob Bryar has gone on record saying the bathtub would fill itself up with water, and the band Papa Roach remembers the power going out every time they would get to a certain line while crafting a song. We never know where we stand on this entire topic, but we can vouch here: This one's pretty legit, folks!
