Believe it or not, it’s been 30 years — an entire generation — since GUESS’ original, three-zip Marilyn jean put their mark on fashion forever. To celebrate, the brand is going back to its roots with a new campaign featuring the star of its classic ads, Claudia Schiffer, and releasing a limited-edition line of updates on their iconic pieces. To join in the festivities, we snapped 30 of our favorite fashionable friends wearing the vintage-inspired 30th anniversary collection and asked them what GUESS means to them. Thirty women, 30 days, 30 sexy years of GUESS.

Name: Rachel Schwartzmann
Ten-second bio: "I’m a native Californian, but I’ve also lived in Texas and have been based here in New York City for nine years now. I'm a student at FIT, a fashion writer, and a blogger. I also contribute to The Huffington Post, run my two blogs — The Style Line and Le Style Child — and I’ve interned at Rebecca Minkoff and Teen Vogue. Currently, I’m interning and blogging for Jeffrey Campbell."
Favorite '80s memory: "Well, I'm 19, so I'm not an '80s child... But that doesn't mean I'm unaware of all the amazing things that were going on then. I love Madonna, her mess-chic fingerless gloves and statement accessories. Fashion was so wild and fun back then."

Favorite GUESS memory: "Denim was definitely trending in the '80s, and GUESS played an instrumental role there. I’ll always think of them as a pioneer in making denim glamorous. I particularly loved their advertising campaigns with Claudia Schiffer. She radiates that sense of GUESS glamour."
Favorite returning ‘80s fashion trend: "The ‘80s was a time when creativity reigned in fashion, and people were trying to make a statement while having fun. I’m excited to see the return of neons, oversized shirts, big statement jewelry, and harem pants (MC Hammer pants included!)."
