And this isn't a cost-saving venture either—these individual appointments will cost Tisci 35% more than hosting a runway show. Also, as a personal challenge, Tisci is using no black for the first time, but his trademark lavish accessorizing will still play a large role. All these moves are a smart move—after all, most of the couture clients cannot attend runway shows for security reasons, and the beauty of couture construction lies in details that can't really be caught from a quick catwalk pass.
