This Chrome Extension Makes Adding GIFs To Emails Dead Easy

At Refinery29, we send a lot of emails. The best part is the amazing reaction GIFs we constantly post in reply to good, not so good, or surprising news. But, digging around and pasting those GIFs into the Gmail "compose" field can be time-consuming. Luckily, Giphy's new Chrome extension makes adding GIFs to your email super-easy. Giphy is a service that lets you search for and share GIFs. Thanks to its new Chrome extension, which you can download here, you can insert Giphy right into your Gmail "compose" box. The extension adds Giphy's rainbow-rific icon next to the text-formatting and attachment icons at the bottom of your screen. Click it to pull up a selection of popular GIFs and search for ones that include specific content or portray a particular emotion. Select the GIF of your choosing, and it's inserted right into your email.  It's as simple as that. So, if you're having a Grumpy Cat kind of day, now you can share it easier than ever.
