What do you get when you mix high art and high street prices? If you are Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung, the husband and wife masterminds behind L.A.'s Poketo, you get an awesome collaboration with Target filled with insane back-to-school-ready bags that we can't wait to get our hands on. Poketo was founded in 2003 when Ted and Angie enlisted a collective of their most artistic friends to create limited-edition wallets which promptly sold out in one night. Cut to 7 years later, the designers have collaborations with The Shins and The Arcade Fire under their belts, and a red-hot mass market line on deck. For Poketo's first 52-piece capsule collection, which hits Target stores August 10th, the duo had 21 friends from Barcelona to Portland contribute designs for weekenders, totes, and wallets. The results are as fun as they are functional—think of it as affordable art, so make sure you check out these perfect budget-friendly bags the second it hits stores.
