Your Next-Level Costume. Done.

Many costumes are funny (or at least funny-ish), but very few blow us away — or successfully take things to the next level. So, we consulted artist, Halloween-costume expert, and writer Beatrix Carroll, for some fresh, top-of-the-line ideas that have yet to hit the parades.
Thinking about being a president? Why not all of Mount Rushmore? And, as for that Kardashian kostume — well, we've taken it one step further. Ahead, five completely original, fully-illustrated ideas so you don't have to think — you just need to prepare your speech for when you win Best Costume this weekend.

Mount Rushmore
"Sometimes a man is so moved by his nation's legacy, that he must commemorate its great leaders by building a monument that incorporates his face. Much like in the real Mount Rushmore, the beauty of the natural formation only accentuates the astounding artifice achieved by man. If you're thinking about being one of the presidents, think again and be multiple presidents memorialized in rock. Or, collaborate — this costume is suitable for up to four friends!"

Iconic Instagram of Baby North West
"This is a parent-baby costume. 1. Put on a frontal baby carrier. 2. Cover square area of your shirt surrounding baby carrier with some polar bear fur (faux works too — I guess). 3. Add some Instagram UI elements. 4. Put a real baby in the baby carrier. 5. Get ready to garner millions of Likes."

Conceptually Sound Mermaid
"We've all tried to dress up as a mermaid before and the conundrum seems inevitable: either you need to be pushed around in a wheelchair, or you are wearing some lame, imitation-tail bellbottoms that Ariel wouldn't touch with a 10-foot fishing pole. This costume is time-intensive, but also timeless."

Larry King...LIVE!
"Glue some cobwebs to a flesh-toned bathing cap, don the appropriate garb, and top it all off with a cardboard box TV. Make sure to depict the very recognizable map backdrop behind you, and leave some room in there for guest interviewees!"
