Has all the music festival buzz left you a little strung out? Instead of scrambling for a few days off and a place to crash in case you make it to Coachella/Bonnaroo/Lolla, play it forward (last pun, we swear...maybe) for the greater good.
In efforts to benefit Music For A Cure, Free People makes their mark on this year's music-festival scene by auctioning off some of the most rad instruments we've ever seen. The fashion label — a perpetual fave among festival season's street-style stars — has gotten their hands on five custom-designed Rickenbacker guitars. Each FP Heart String will be traveling from Austin, to Nashville, and finally, to NYC, all the while gaining constant bids through their Charity Buzz site.
When the auction ends on April 3, the five guitars will find a new home and the proceeds from the sale will help to provide music therapy programs at children's hospitals. Can't play a single chord? Who cares! Start bidding today, and let's call it art (or sign up for music lessons). With a cause this worthy, you'll never hit a sour note. (Free People)
