East Village/Lower East Side

Motorino
Do not dial Domino’s — opt for this mom and pop pizza shop’s 12-inch Neapolitan-style pies instead. The classic Margherita will hit the spot, and if you’re feeling adventurous, order the Brussels Sprouts pie (!) topped with pecorino cheese and juicy pieces of smoked pancetta. Motorino trucks its pizza all over the East Village and beyond for lunch and dinner (until 1 a.m. on weekends!), and has no delivery minimum.
Motorino, 349 East 12th Street (between 1st and 2nd avenues); 212-777-2644.

Dudley’s
This new Aussie-American eatery delivers a dynamite burger to patrons of the LES. If you’re struggling from a night out on the town (aka, you want nothing more than to devour some greasy goodness from your bed the next morning), order a breakfast dish like the Egg Sandwich with roasted tomatoes, bacon, arugula, and mayo (available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.!). $15 minimum.
Dudley’s, 85 Orchard Street (at Broome Street); 212-925-7355.

Jeepney
Hit up this new Filipino gastropub for exotic dishes like Bicol Express (pork shoulder in coconut milk with banana chilis). As of January 15, it's also been doling out lunch to hungry East Villagers throughout the ‘hood. $10 minimum.
Jeepney, 201 1st Avenue (between 12th and 13th streets); 212-533-4121.

Little Muenster
Grilled cheese has evolved past Wonder Bread and Kraft Singles thanks to the opening of places like Little Muenster, a LES resto whose menu is dominated by gourmet versions of the fromage ‘wich. Case in point: grilled cheese made with asiago, parmesan, butternut squash, and sage brown butter. Delivery is available for lunch and dinner. $10 minimum.
Little Muenster, 100 Stanton Street (between Orchard and Ludlow streets); 212-203-7197.

Souvlaki GR
There’s nothing like a chicken souvlaki slathered in creamy tzatziki sauce on a stay-at-home Saturday night, which is exactly the kind of Greek grub you’ll find on the menu at Souvlaki GR on the LES. $15 minimum.
Souvlaki GR, 116 Stanton Street (at Essex Street); 212-777-0116.
