Tea & Sympathy
In addition to tea, this British eatery serves delicious, it’s-too-cold-to-leave-my-couch meals like Bangers and Mash and Shepherd’s Pie. It also supplies belly-warming breakfast after 11 a.m. (Think: eggs, porridge, bacon, and more) for those getting off to a late start. $10 Minimum.
Tea & Sympathy, 108 Greenwich Avenue (between Jane and Horatio streets); 212-989-9735.
Fatty Crab
Mix up your in-home meals with Malaysian-inspired cuisine from Fatty Crab. We love the Lo Si Fun (short rice noodles, black vinegar, Chinese sausage, shitake mushroom, and egg) and Chili Crab. The Fatty peeps deliver almost everywhere in the West Village (not below Leroy Street) for lunch and din din. $15 minimum.
Fatty Crab, 643 Hudson Street (between Gansevoort and Horatio streets); 212-352-3592.
The Original Sandwich Shoppe
For pre-6 p.m. grubbing, hop on Seamless and order a no-frills sandwich from one of the best delis in NYC: The Original Sandwich Shoppe. These sammie masters pretty much have any kind of bread, cheese, cold cut, or condiment you want, and they deliver throughout the West Village. $12 minimum.
The Original Sandwich Shoppe, 58A Greenwich Avenue (between 6th and 7th avenues); 212-255-2237.
Keste Pizzeria
This Neapolitan pizzeria has no delivery minimum, and doles out its dishes all over the West Village. Dial its digits for blister-bursting pies made with top-notch ingredients like homemade mozzarella. There are several gluten-free options available like the Prosciutto e Arugula.
